The majority of the afternoon I watched the flocks go further northeast of me but finally worked some groups into the spread. Good thing because I was getting alittle bummed not being able to click the shutter. Had a couple geese come in, relax for awhile, start to get up but then come right back down.
The bonus of the afternoon was the sudden surprise of a pair of speckbellies flying towards me and actually landing in the decoys not very far from my blind. Of course they had to land right behind some corn stalks so I wasn't able to get the photo I wanted.
Earlier in the day I snapped the picture of the WPA sign at the near by public marsh when I was hoping to get shots over water but it was frozen.
