I sent in some of my favorites from the past year and was awarded the runner-up for the waterfowl hunting category out of hundreds of entries. It's always exciting to see what I capture on my D90 while out hunting and its even more exciting to see it in print in a major magazine.
This follow ups two of my photographs being selected for the Iowa Ducks Unlimited Gun Calendar for 2016. The image of a tornado of snow geese and myself raising up to shoot just like the one selected for the magazine, was also one of them selected for the calendar.
