Sunrise and Sunset Waterfowling Action

Up early before dawn or staying til dusk, in the fall a waterfowl hunter can capture beautiful landscapes of the sun rising or setting if the camera is near.

#3. Another beautiful sunrise in central Iowa.

#4. Geese going out to feed while the sun is setting.

#5. Here the geese come out to the field before the sun goes below the horizon. Have to love the orangeish glow of late November.

Harvest Time in Iowa

Beautiful sunsets and fields full of combines in the fall create an opportunity to capture great photo's if you are clicking the shutter at the magic moment.

#1. One of my favorite pictures so far with my new camera capturing the combine with the setting sun right above the grain tank. Shot in Raw and hardly any post processing on this picture. Simply beautiful!

#2. The combine leaving the setting sun in the dust.

#3. Capturing the glowing sun through a field of soybeans.

New Camera Results in More Keepers

Over the summer months, I sold my Pentax K100D Super and purchased the brand new Nikon D90. I've always wanted a Nikon and figured it was better to jump towards the brand now before I picked up more lenses for the Pentax system.

The Nikon D90 has helped me improve my photography skills with more options and features then the Pentax and is what I needed for the birds in flight that I enjoy to photograph.

I hope everyone enjoys the new photo's that I added that have been taken with the D90. There will be plenty more to come.

It's da Squirrel

This little guy was busy this fall gathering apples from the near by trees getting ready for winter. He sure didn't mind me standing right underneath him taking pictures of him sitting in the tree.

Lake Panorama Firework Show

Each year, Lake Panorama puts on a wonderful firework show during the 4th of July. All the boat owners bring out their boats and sit in the channels waiting for the sky to be lite. I was able to capture these photo's with the K100D Super in between the processing it took for these dark pictures using the blub function.

Moments Captured this Spring

The camera was out with me during the spring and late winter when the geese and ducks were heading back north. Trying to capture their bright spring plumage, I managed to get a few keepers. I also had some great opportunites to capture beautiful sunsets with the local co-op in the background.

#1. A female wood duck flying off a near by creek.

#2. A drake and female resting on a flooded waterway.

#3. A triplet of Pintails. How I wish they came through like this in the fall instead of the spring.

#4. I got alittle too close for this big guys comfort and he tried to get away.

#5. A pair protecting their space on the water.

#6. This guy meant business.

#7. A mom and her goslings on the golf course. Can't believe these little fuzz balls grow up to be 12lbs Canada's.

#8. One of my favorite pictures taken which almost didn't happen until I turned around after I heard the honk. The sunset, farmers coop, and a nice string of geese make this shot superb.

#9. Another sunset captured in late winter with beautiful colors.

#10. A nice sunrise over the town of Yale.

#11. Alittle to much frost on this rain gauge.
